The Regent College promotes an understanding of our common heritage as Africans.
The African Studies curriculum entails an exploration of Africa through an experiential learning model that engages you actively, ensuring that you become a manager of your own learning.
You will assume the citizenship of an African nation, and will drive your learning by researching its history, culture, politics and economy. You will then plan and give a presentation to the entire school. Every 25th May, you will demonstrate your learning by staging an exhibition in commemoration of Africa Day.
As a member of the Model African Union Club at The Regent College, you will have the opportunity to explore current issues, and to work collaboratively with your peers to seek implementable solutions.
Ultimately, you will have the option to take your learning further by attending the annual Model African Union conference in South Africa.
