Leadership Programs

Work Experience Program

We have a culture of building outstanding leadership portfolios for our students. One way of doing this is by introducing them to yearly internship programmes. The purpose is to help them gain first-hand work experience and at the same time put to practice all the leadership skills learnt while with us. Our internship programme is well structured and monitored. All interns are provided with daily log book for effective supervision and monitoring process. Our students are provided with different work experience options which they can explore. These include the following:

  •  Domestic support within their immediate family
  • Internship with a formal organization
  • Caregiving to the vulnerable (strongly recommended for immediate family members during COVID 19)
  • Apprenticeship (learning new skills)
  • Promoting Positive Behaviour (PPB) – (Using their social media presence and influence)

Mentorship Programme

We run an outstanding mentorship programme which helps to produce remarkable results by boosting the academic performances of our students. Our mentorship programme brings together students from different year groups and academic programmes who form one-to-one mentoring relationships with their academic mentors (teachers).

It is flexible, confidential and fits students’ availability and academic preferences. Our students enjoy from a range of benefits; like receiving encouragement and support from their mentors and older students in addition to learning from their experiences; develop strategies for dealing with both personal and academic issues; gain valuable insights into the next stage of students’ college journey, to name a few. Mentors, on the other hand, develop
a range of skills including leadership, communication, personal skills, and personal growth.

Our students are automatically enrolled into this programme which gives them adequate support to settle quickly into their academic schedules.

Students on academic probation are adequately cared for and monitored by their academic mentors and weekly reports are submitted on their behalf for effective support and management.

Community Service and Project Delivery

At the beginning of every school year, our students launch fundraising initiatives to finance community service projects. This is one of their mandatory leadership projects which will be commissioned at the end of their final exams. This programme is deliberately designed to raise awareness on the need to contribute to their community. It also gives them the opportunity to mentor primary school pupils.
